After six years working on the Ribeira Sacra’s territory, in May 2022 we opened our new space in the countryside, in San Cristovo de Mouricios (Chantada), a small Galician village of 54 inhabitants from where we will continue to promote contemporary art and culture, paying attention to new formats through reflection, discussion, production and coexistence with the rural environment.

An old farm has been transformed into a space open to contemporary art in rural Galicia. The space stands out for its architectural uniqueness, where the natural light and the carballeira (oak grove), where it is located, have a special role. For the technical part of the construction, several professionals from the area worked in collaboration with Miriam Pérez, precursor of the project, and the artist Rodríguez-Méndez, both responsible for the design.

It is located within OsCasares estate, a multipurpose project that promotes encounters, knowledge from proximity, learning and cultural exchanges.

Throughout 2023, we will present a program of activities designed from Vilaseco in the hamelt, in which this is not a passive element that receives the proposals but rather makes the possible thanks to local resources. The objective of these activities is to formulate bidirectional knowledge experiences, in which the rural and the urban are unified in artistic experiences.
