Sonia Navarro

Sonia Navarro learned sewing and tailoring from her grandmothers, before getting a BA from the University of Granada and completing a Master’s Degree in Photography from Efti. She obtained numerous scholarships, such as the Plastic Arts Scholarship from the Ministry of Culture at the College of Spain, Paris and the Royal Academy of Spain in Rome Scholarship from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Since 2000 she has participated uninterruptedly in ARCO with the T20 Gallery, as well as in numerous national and international fairs. He has held individual exhibitions in national galleries such as T20 (Murcia), Mas Art (Barcelona), Ad Hoc (Vigo), Galería Vilaseco (A Coruña), Espacio AV de Murcia and in international galleries such as Ybakatu, Curitiba (Brazil) and Galería Pedro Oliveira (Porto), in addition to the individual exhibition at the Cité de Paris.
She has work in various institutions such as in the autonomous communities of Murcia and Madrid; in the Ministries of Labor and Social Affairs, Culture and Foreign Affairs; at the Rey Juan Carlos University (Madrid); the Cajamurcia Foundation and the Entrecanales Foundation; Feval Extremadura, and the DKV Collections, Mariano Yera, Kells and the Sala Verónicas de Murcia. She is currently part of the Nave Oporto project.
