In Alén (“Beyond”), Antonio Murado’s second solo show at the gallery, new work is shown alongside pieces from his most well-known series. Most are landscapes, an area Murado has been working with for years, and which has led him to study Japanese gardens, reinterpreting the Taoist gardens of Kyoto, with a single blot of paint that seeps into the canvas like a garden reaching down into the earth, under a thin protective finish
